There’s really not much to know about me.
Supermodel and singer Karen Elson shares on her personal Instagram a new/old picture of her, Dakota Johnson and Emily Ward back at the Seventh Annual Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic in NJ on May, 31 2014.
Johnson is set to star in “I Am Love” helmer Luca Guadagnino’s “A Bigger Splash.”
Tilda Swinton and Ralph Fiennes join Johnson with Michael Costigan producing.
Based on the 1969 French crime drama “La Piscine,” the story revolves around an uneasy triangle that forms between a couple and a younger woman during the couple’s vacation, leading to a sinister end. Jane Birkin played the younger woman while Alain Delon and Romy Schneider played the couple in the Jacques Deray noir.
David Kajganich is writing the script. Shooting starts next month in Italy.
Though “Fifty Shades of Grey” wrapped production this past spring, Johnson has been particular about choosing her next project. She had several offers for bigger films, but decided to stick with dramas in order to work with more well-respected directors.
She recently wrapped shooting on Warner Bros.’ untitled Whitey Bulger pic starring Johnny Depp which the studio has slated for a fall 2015 release, lining it up for an award season run. Johnson is also attached to star in “Forever, Interrupted,” on which she is also a producer.
This latest role gives Johnson another serious role to add to her resume prior to the release of “Fifty Shades of Grey.”
Johnson is riding the momentum from the release of Universal and Focus’ “Fifty Shades of Grey” trailer which has become the highest viewed trailer of 2014 as well as one of Universal’s most-watched trailers ever.
Trailer views don’t necessarily correlate with box office grosses, but the interest level is a good sign both for the film and for Johnson’s career.
“Fifty Shades of Grey” bows Feb. 13. Johnson is repped by WME and Management 360.
“Oh, fuck the paperwork.”
"Why don’t you like to be touched?"

Dakota Johnson is on fire!
Our girl got herself into another project, which involves her coming to Italy.
Dakota is now a part of the “I Am Love” cast, along Tilda Swinton and Ralph Fiennes. The Italian Luca Guadagnino directs the movie. The story talks about the clique and most obvious love triangle, a girl (Dakota in this case) sneaks into a couple during their holidays. This movie might remind you of something because it is based on the 1969 France crime drama “La Piscine”.
The filming will be of course, set in Italy. In Sicily, to be precise. David Kajganich is writing the script as we speak and shooting starts next month, even if someone is already on set shooting scenes.
After Fifty Shades of Grey, Dakota has been working a lot, carefully choosing her works. She will be starring in the film adaptation of “Forever Interrupted”, a debut novel by Taylor Jenkins Reid. Not only she will be the female lead, bringing to life another book character after Anastasia Steele, but she will also be a producer. Let’s not forget she just finished shooting “Black Mass”, alongside Johnny Depp.
Dakota Johnson has been offered many roles but she decided to stick with small dramas instead of bigger movies, to have the chance to work with more and well respected directors.
We cannot wait to see Dakota’s future projects.
